Parliament Unveils Plan for Stronger Democracy

 

 

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has launched the institution’s Corporate Strategic Plan (2026-2030), emphasizing that a stronger Parliament is crucial for Ghana’s democratic growth and prosperity. According to GBC News, the plan outlines key initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Parliament.

 

The five-year plan focuses on institutional reforms, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement. Bagbin highlighted the importance of Parliament’s role in promoting good governance and accountability. “A stronger Parliament strengthens our democracy, and a stronger democracy lays the foundation for a more prosperous, free, just and inclusive society,” he said.
