Angela Oyakhilome, mother of celebrated Nigerian Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has passed at 88 in Nigeria. She died on Friday September 25 2026. The announcement was made by Rev Kay Adesina on behalf of the Central Executive Council of LoveWorld Incorporated also known as Christ Embassy.
According to Rev Kay Adesina, Mama Angela lived a life of faith, grace and devoted service to God. The church described her as a matriarch whose prayers and support shaped the global ministry of Pastor Chris. Members across Nigeria and abroad have begun mourning.
Angela Oyakhilome was widely respected within LoveWorld for her quiet strength and motherly counsel. She stood behind the ministry from its early years in Nigeria to its expansion across Africa, Europe and America. Her legacy is linked to the raising of a global evangelist who leads millions.
Tributes have poured in from pastors, partners and members of Christ Embassy worldwide. Many described her as a prayerful mother and a symbol of enduring faith. The Central Executive Council said funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
