The Need for Focus
“But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” – Luke 10:42 KJV
The need for focus hits when life’s distractions pull you in many directions. Like
Martha, you can get busy, but what’s the “one thing” God wants from you? Focus on what’s truly important – knowing God, serving Him, and living with purpose.
“He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.” (Song of Solomon 2:4 KJV). Focus brings clarity and intimacy with God. When you’re
focused on God, distractions lose their grip, and you experience His love deeply.
Focus doesn’t mean ignoring responsibilities; it means prioritizing what’s central. In
Ghana’s busy life, choose what aligns with God’s will.
Focus on prayer, God’s Word, and serving others – these bring lasting impact.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33 KJV). This shows the priority. When you focus on God’s kingdom, other things fall into place.
As you cultivate focus, you’ll experience God’s presence and purpose more clearly.
Let focus sharpen your walk with God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me focus on what’s truly important – You and Your kingdom. Guide me to prioritize what lasts. Amen.
