Sanitation Projects Break Ground in Akatsi North Schools

 

 

The District Chief Executive for Akatsi North, Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani, has joined forces with the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, to launch school sanitation projects in the area. The sod-cutting ceremonies took place at Posmonu Basic School and E.P. Basic School in Ave-Afiadenyigba Old Town, marking the beginning of construction on two four-seater WC toilet facilities, each equipped with a mechanized borehole.

 

The projects, which are expected to be completed within three months, aim to improve sanitation and address water challenges in the beneficiary schools. According to reports, the facilities will provide much-needed infrastructure to support the health and well-being of students and staff.

 

The event was attended by NDC Constituency and Branch Executives, Chiefs and Elders, as well as other key stakeholders, who expressed their commitment to supporting the projects. Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe emphasized the importance of improved sanitation in schools, highlighting the positive impact it will have on the education sector.

 

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani, also underscored the significance of the projects, noting that they will help to address the water challenges faced by the schools. He urged the community to take ownership of the projects and ensure their successful completion.

 

The projects are part of the government’s efforts to improve education infrastructure in the Akatsi North Constituency. The community is expected to benefit from improved health and sanitation facilities, creating a conducive environment for teaching and learning.
