Chairman of the Volta Regional Vetting Committee, Abraham Amaliba, has commended candidates and their supporters for the high level of decorum exhibited during the just-ended vetting exercise in Ho. According to him, the peaceful conduct is a testament to the maturity of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region.

Mr. Amaliba, who is the Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority and Director of Conflict Resolution for the NDC, chaired the two-day vetting from 16th to 17th October, 2026. He said the committee was impressed with the orderliness. “We want to commend all candidates and their supporters for the decorum during vetting,” he stated. “If there’s a problem in the NDC, it will go out to the whole country that NDC is not united. Other regions may have skirmishes but Volta Region cannot afford to have skirmishes.”
