3 Children Teacher Killed Oregon School Teen Shooter Shot

Three children, aged 5, 8 and 11, and one teacher were killed when a 16-year-old gunman entered an Oregon elementary school and started shooting. Police confirm the shooting occurred during morning classes, triggering a full lockdown and emergency response.

A community member engaged and killed the shooter before officers arrived, police say. Authorities praised the heroic action which they say prevented a larger massacre. The elementary school has been closed as investigators collect evidence. Source: https://cnn.it/4hXcWUf

The victims, three young pupils and a dedicated teacher, were pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts by paramedics. Families have been notified and counseling services have been activated for survivors and parents.

Oregon officials say the 16-year-old gunman acted alone and gained entry through an unsecured side entrance. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms is tracing the origin of the firearm. The community member who stopped the shooter is cooperating with police and is being hailed as a hero.
