Beauty Unfaded
“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament
of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.” — 1 Peter 3:4 KJV
Real beauty does not fade. Makeup fades, clothes fade, age comes, but there is a beauty that
time cannot touch — the beauty of the heart. God is not against outward beauty, but He prizes
inner beauty more. The world looks at your face, but God looks at your heart, and it is the beauty
of the heart that lasts forever.
Unfaded beauty is not produced by cosmetics; it is produced by character. A meek and quiet spirit,
a gentle and peaceful heart, a life adorned with holiness, kindness, and love — this is beauty in
the sight of God. “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she
shall be praised” — Proverbs 31:30 KJV. When the fear of God is in your heart, a beauty comes
upon your life that no age can diminish.
This world chases beauty that fades, but God offers beauty that never fades. It is not corruptible.
It does not wrinkle. It does not expire. It grows brighter with time. Moses spent forty days in God’s
presence and his face shone. Stephen was filled with the Holy Ghost and his face shone like an
angel. True beauty is the glow of God upon a man who walks with Him.
We receive this beauty by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the beautifier. He works on our hidden man,
He softens our spirit, He removes anger, bitterness, pride, and envy, and He clothes us with
meekness, joy, and peace. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, He puts an unfading beauty
upon you — a beauty that no circumstance can take away.
When the Holy Spirit fills you, your beauty stops being outward only. Your words become
beautiful, your attitude becomes beautiful, your life becomes beautiful. Men may look at your
appearance, but they will encounter the fragrance of Christ upon you, and that is beauty unfaded.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being the source of true beauty. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and adorn my
heart with beauty that does not fade. Create in me a meek and quiet spirit that is precious in Your
sight. Let my life shine with the beauty of Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
