“Wisdom is profitable to direct” – Ecclesiastes 10:10 WEB

Yesterday, we focused on Supplication for the Saints. Today, let’s tackle Profitable Direction – an essential discipline for 2026. Why? Because God’s Word says wisdom is profitable to direct (Ecclesiastes 10:10 WEB). “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” – James 1:5 WEB. “For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding:” – Proverbs 2:6 WEB.

Wisdom is the force of God’s word directing us to act wisely and expect profitable outcomes always. It’s about applying God’s truth to our lives for success and blessing (Proverbs 2:1-5 WEB).

This definition attempts to capture this useful aspect of this amorphous word, howbeit not exhaustive – wisdom is God’s direction for wise living with profitable outcomes. It’s like having a divine GPS for life’s decisions, relationships, and ministry, guiding you to walk in God’s best (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

God’s word should direct you this year, it means wisdom should lead you. Oftentimes, we’re unable to match up the required level of wisdom for the level of challenges we encounter because of many lost opportunities to grow in wisdom through laziness to study. That’s why our pastors who have spent or are expected to spend years in study give us counsel from scripture.

In 2026, ask God to help you seek wisdom like Solomon did (1 Kings 3:9-12 WEB). Expect profitable direction in your decisions, relationships, and ministry.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me walk in Your wisdom in 2026. Let it direct me to profitable outcomes. Amen.
