The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is in stable condition after surviving a road accident at Pai-Katanga in the Oti Region while returning to Accra from Tamale. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at about 2:00 am.

According to MyJoyOnline, the King was traveling back to Accra when the accident happened, but fortunately, he escaped unhurt and is said to be in good spirits. Palace sources disclosed that the Ga Mantse had traveled to the Northern Region on a private visit at the invitation of the Yaa Naa.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, who was enstooled as Ga Mantse in May 2020, has been at the center of a chieftaincy dispute, but was recently affirmed as the legitimate Ga Mantse by the Supreme Court.
