NDC Chairman Emphasizes Governance and Accountability

 

 

The Regional Chairman of the NDC, Comrade Mawutor Agbavitor, has underscored the importance of governance, accountability, and development in a meeting with progressive Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the Regional Secretariat. According to Comrade Agbavitor, the discussion was productive and forward-looking, focusing on issues critical to the well-being of the people.

 

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Regional Chairman to interact closely with the CSOs, exchange ideas, and listen to their perspectives on how to collectively strengthen systems and better serve the people. Comrade Agbavitor emphasized that governance must remain open, inclusive, and responsive, highlighting the crucial role of CSOs in deepening transparency and amplifying the voice of the citizen.

 

The Regional Chairman was joined by his colleagues at the Secretariat, including the Acting Regional Secretary, the Vice Chairman, the Regional Treasurer, and the Deputy Organizer, whose presence enriched the engagement. The discussion centered on building trust and promoting progress through engagement.

 

Comrade Agbavitor stressed that the role of CSOs in governance cannot be overstated, and he is committed to working together to achieve shared goals. He noted that when trust is built, progress follows, and the work continues.

 

The meeting was a significant step in fostering collaboration between the NDC and CSOs, with a view to promoting accountability and development in the region.
